Well, it's a popular heart-warming song performed by Andrea Bocelli, an italian tenor, multi-instrumentalist and classical crossover artist. I almost cried when listening to his beautiful voice, confirming his unique & great talent from God despite he is blind at the age of twelve following a football accident. I fall in love to this song & keep replaying it for the whole afternoon. It's simply fantastic! Actually i listened to this song long time ago when i was small, it's the second version of the song, sung partly in English with Sarah Brightman, released as the well known "Time to Say Goodbye".
Andrea Bocelli was born on 22 September 1958 at Pisa, Toscana, Italy. As a young boy, Brocelli showed a great passion for music. Music was the only thing that would comfort him. He started his piano lessons at the age of six, and later also learned to play the flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, harp, guitar & drums! He's so talented! He would also spend time singing during his childhood. At the age of 14, he won his first song competition, the Margherita d'Oro in Viareggio with O sole mio (one of my favourite classic too!).
Let's enjoy one of his greatest classic here, Con te Partiro, hope you guys will like it!
Here is the meaning of the song:
When I'm alone
I dream of the horizon
and words fail;
yes, I know there is no light
in a room where the sun is absent,
if you are not here with me.
At the windows
show everyone my heart
which you set alight;
enclose within me
the light you
encountered on the street.
I'll go with you
to countries I never
saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I'll go with you
on ships across seas
which, I know,
no, no, exist no longer;
with you I shall experience them.
When you are far away
I dream of the horizon
and words fail,
and, yes, I know
that you are with me;
you, my moon, are here with me,
my sun, you are here with me
with me, with me, with me.
I'll go with you
to countries I never
saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I'll go with you
on ships across seas
which, I know,
no, no, exist no longer,
With you I shall experience them again.
I'll go with you
on ships across seas
which, I know,
no, no, exist no longer,
with you I shall experience them again.
I'll go with you.
You and me.
