Kaffa Espresso Bar is a vintage American-themed bar which combines good food, good coffee and company in a cozy and relaxing environment. It is located at Green Hall, near to the Dewan Sri Pinang, which is easily to locate.

This quaint cafe has a vintage American-themed setting which uses the modern-contemporary design style that lets you enjoy the vintage cozy ambiance and reminisce the glory of the past.

There were no people to serve us when we first went into the cafe,

we need to go to the counter to place our orders.

Too bad we didn't have the chance to enjoy the night view there

Spicy aglio olio with turkey ham and seaweed

The spiciness of this spaghetti was generally from the black pepper,

the portion of the turkey ham and seaweed was generous though.

Grilled chicken, Swiss cheese & Avocado Triple-Decker Sandwich

The sandwich comes with salad and mashed potato.

I like the salad and mashed potato more than the sandwich though.

For me, the sandwich tasted so-so and the breads are quite hard to bite.

Not to mention that the portion of grilled chicken is small, too.

Chilling with 3D Coffee Art @ Cafe 55, George Town, Penang

Many boutique cafes and theme cafes have sprung up along the old streets and shop houses in the heart of George Town recently. It is amazing to see how the locals and foreigners take this opportunity to turn the abandoned old shops into beautiful boutique cafes and theme cafes which are fulled of people and visitors whenever I passed by.

I have always wanted to try the 3D coffee art after heard the good reviews and also saw the cute pictures posted in the social media sites, so off we went to the famous Cafe 55 which is the only cafe in Penang that does the 3D coffee art.

Be prepared to wait, serving time for the coffee might a bit slow due to the overwhelming of guests and the making of the 3D coffee art took some time.

We waited for nearly 30 minutes for our coffees to be served.

The cappuccino has a very thick aroma and taste,

a sachet of sugar is not enough for us 'coz it tasted quite bitter.

I strongly recommend you to finish the cappuccino before take a sip of hot chocolate, 'coz the hot chocolate is much sweeter and it might turn the cappuccino to a much more bitter taste after sipping the sweet hot chocolate.

Because the cappuccino is getting bitter and bitter,

at last we put 3 sachets of sugar. *Laugh*

I swear I won't do it at other cafes which served foam-less coffee haha!

After a sip of the hot chocolate

The hazelnut hot chocolate is my favourite!

It tasted very thick and foamy with a rich aroma of hazelnut.

The barista did well with the foam to create the great 3D coffee art,

and both coffee and hot chocolate were served at a right temperature.

(But not after we finished capture the picture for N times! *Laugh*)

Harlo my friends! Sorry to left my blog untouched for the past few weeks! I have been very busy these few weeks as we have started treating real patients in the clinic, plus our schedule was very fulled and packed with lectures and mini tests since the first day we stepped into the clinical year. Gladly I was able to survive through these hectic clinical weeks and hopefully I will get used to it slowly and most importantly everything runs smoothly on the clinical years! *fingerscrossed*

So today I'm going to blog about my first try on the Vietnamese cuisine at Vietnam Kitchen 越式小厨 @ Cheras Leisure Mall on about last two to three weeks ago (I guess?) haha.

The restaurant is situated at the 2nd floor of the new wing of the mall, just beside the Fitness First. The place is beautiful and cosy, decorated with the pretty Vietnamese lamps and plenty of drum lights in the restaurant. The restaurant occupies an open space with no walls, with the seats and decorations going in a semicircle around the kitchen and counter.
